"As Spelman College transitions from in-person to remote learning environment, the College's leadership has remained focused on the health and well-being of the campus community and our friends. From assisting with moving off campus to assessing resources needed for online learning, Spelman is making arrangements to provide emergency assistance and support to ensure the well-being of students, working in conjunction with their respective deans and/or senior leadership of Spelman.
Because Spelman is founded upon and embraces sisterhood, it is in this spirit that we are asking for your support for our students who may be experiencing financial hardships with unexpected travel home.
Let’s rally around our sisters to show our love and encouragement. For the latest information about how Spelman is supporting your sisters, please visit the College's Coronavirus Update page. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. We will see this through together, in the spirit and tradition of the strong, caring, and dedicated Spelman family."
In True Blue Spirit, many alumnae have asked how best to assist students who need additional assistance to move off-campus, pay for unforeseen travel, etc. due to the coronavirus threat. Currently, we are in need of storage space for students to keep their items until they return in the fall. If you are willing to allow a student to store items with you, please click the image below to complete the volunteer form.
